Mission to Mongolia
Mongolia is located north of China and has a population of almost
three million. From 1921-1990, it was ruled by the Soviet Union
and religious activities were prohibited. After Mongolia became
independent, it opened its doors to missionaries and now there is
a stable growth of Christianity in many cities. About half of the
country’s population resides in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city,
and the people who live in the countryside are mainly nomadic
herders, moving around with their animals depending on the
availability of food.
CVMCanada has committed to support missions in Mongolia and
encourages interested missionary candidates to share the gospel
and their veterinary skills with these hungry people.
